Loss

Kyle and I lost our baby today. Sadie had a large tumor on her liver with massive internal bleeding. We let our angel go. Our hearts are broken. She was the best dog either of us have ever known. It was so strange being on the other side of the whole process. Every time someone said "I'm so sorry for your loss" I learned how nice those words are to hear during such painful, dire circumstances. We love you and will never stop missing you Dearest Sadie.

  1. My condolences, it's painful I know, I've been there myself a couple of times. I remember caring for our cat Pyewacket whom we'd had since I was 9 or 10, and our wise and good natured little boston terrier Keiji, a dog the likes of which I've yet to meet again, each as they made their way out of the world.

I guess the important thing, is to keep their memory alive even once they've gone.

  2. I can't tell you how sorry I am to hear your darling passed! I know how it feels, and I can tell you from experience that remembering the amazing love they brought to us is something that makes all the difference in life. So when you cry for her, I hope you smile, too, at the special, goofy things that were Sadie's and hers alone. That way, she will never truly be gone.
    Hugs to you and yours.

    1. Thank you, we are going through waves of sobbing and despair over our loss, and then I think I've heard her claws tapping along the floor or her tag jingle on her collar. We have been going through old photos and remembering. She was my first dog and she's the whole reason Kyle and I met. Thanks for your thoughts. We are devastated. Thank you.

  4. I am truly sorry for your loss. To me, every pet is a viable member of the family and they leave a void when they are no longer around. I hope you can find comfort your buddy's memory soon instead of pain.
