Scary Movies
Link: The Haunting 1963 Check it out. I just recently found this list of Martin Scorsese's 11 scariest horror films of all time. I know the man hasn't produced a lot of note lately, but I love his list. Most are black and white, low tech-compared to this day. My favorite scary movies are low on special effects and high in tension and the best scare of all, (where is Vincent Price when I need him to narrate?) the fear of the unknown . I can't wait to check out the other's on Scorsese's list that I haven't seen. Funny thing is that I am a child of the late 70's early 80's, during the last heyday of Halloween before parents became too paranoid and Halloween trick or treats started taking place at trunk or treats. Ugh... Things are improving though. I wasn't allowed to see the slasher movies until I was older, but my mum introduced my sister and me to some of the early greats such as The Haunting and The Uninvited. Perhaps that is the reason why...
