The Big Idaho Show

My favorite question of the evening was "Are you with the band?" Seriously lady? I'm pushing 40. Good lord. She then asked "Can they do Zeppelin?" My answer, with a shrug and a smile "Sorry, I dunno, you might want to ask them". I had a great night.

Mix Tape

This was the first song I listened to on the awesome stereo in my Mini. Yes I made a mix tape for the drive home. An old friend recommended the song to me.

Peter Steele

Source This will be the last song of 10/31/11 at my haunt . I saw Type O Negative once back in the day. I loved their sense of humor, so twisted. Mr. Steele had an amazing presence, and I still can't get over his voice. This song embodies so much of the teen sense of drama I once had and it still takes me back. even though I work for the dead, some of them really touch my "soul" to me Mr. Steele's story is very tragic. I like to think he'd like what I've done with their song.

EMO? No, just human

I've never watched Gray's Anatomy, but I've seen Brandi Carlile twice.  The first time I saw her and the band, I'd never heard of them, they are amazing  in concert- true entertainers.  When I first started out working in the morgue I was a forensic technician assisting autopsies.  Doing my work often evokes all sorts of emotions-disgust, compassion, anxiety, compassion- I always seem to go back to compassion.  I would spend hours in the morgue, cleaning, prepping, assisting, handling personal effects, collecting evidence... too many things to list.  This song was often played on the boom box back there.  If you really listen to the words, you might understand how they apply directly to my work and how humbling the whole experience can be.  Here's a link to the official video of the song that sounds better but didn't fit the visual for my purpose. I started out in the music business in the early 90's.  I know, how the hell did I...

Haunt Sounds

I've got a Midnight Syndicate CD, the original Halloween, Trick 'r Treat and Session 9 plus these guys I picked up from You Tube: http://www.youtube.com/my_playlists?p=FA74A8FDA3A9F255 I'm not that really into Midnight S.  But I figure most will expect some.  Don't get me wrong, they are really good at what they do. I hope the link works.

I found this list on Amazon for Haunt music.  Very cool starting point.
