Types of Meningitis There are basically four different types of meningitis.  In general, they are classified by their cause: viral (virus), bacterial (bacteria), fungal (fungus), or amoebic (amoeba).  Viral meningitis is the most common of the types of meningitis, and is typically less serious than bacterial (which has a high fatality rate).  The most common viral attack is typically from the  coxsackie  and  echovirus (two viruses that are part of a group called  enterovirus  – which is the group that contains the polio virus). Less common causes include complications due to measles, polio, or chickenpox viruses. I will find out soon if I was accidentally exposed to one of these.  Seriously.  Well, me and many others.   Don't worry, I'm inoculated for the worst kind and had prophylaxis, but it is still creepy.  The thing that kills me (ha ha) is that there are people that think we don't deserve a pay hike. ...

I've decided that since my two blogs are kind of dependent on the seasons, that I should merge them both together into one blog.  So all you gardeners, prepare to get a dose of Halloween haunt related posts in the autumn, and all you haunt bloggers will get some posts about our gardening endeavors.  I will discontinue posting on that blog and put it all together on this one.

The rock band album cover shot seems to be just perfect for CSI work. Look at those jaunty poses, you know these people don't mess around. I think I need to wear leather jackets, and white shirts, because you know, white shirts make so much sense with the things I am exposed to. Wait a minute, who the hell wears leather jackets in Miami?

Morgue Feet , originally uploaded by Hassle Glad . I am so glad we don't use the drawer type cooler. How do you get in there to clean? I hope they have a crane to lift the bodies to the height of the shelves. this is terrible design that gets used all the time on T.V. and the movies. What about all the jumbo sized Americans I bring back to the office all the time? The way to go my friends is a large walk in cooler where you just wheel the tables in and some stacking racks on the side for long term storage. Think realistically, what about maggots and blood? That would be disgusting.  Oh and we don't use fabric sheets, that makes no sense.  We use plastic envelopes, that way you don't get any on you when you move them around.   Welcome to my world.

I just ordered this and can't wait to get it.  I went with the blue sapphires.

I made this one in VideoPad instead of Movie Maker.  I learned that I need to take a lot more photos to string together as a move.  I will also work on improving my video skills as well.

I'm glad I've waited to order, I first thought pink, but blue seems to be the right one for me with my blue eyes and all.

My favorite photo blog Your Apples are My Oranges  has some beautiful photos of McCall Idaho, a couple of hours north of Boise.  Emily's posts are a constant inspiration and I had a ton of fun this summer watching her garden grow along with ours.  

I used to live near this place.  Too bad is wasn't a haunted attraction back then. Sounds like Dekalb, IL has changed a lot since I was there 10 years ago.

Click the picture to see the video: Argh!  5 hours later after sorting through pics and trying to figure out Windows Movie Maker, This is it.  Time for a break and some rest before work early in the morning.  Don't worry, Kyle already got me a better cooler for next year!  We had a wonderful Halloween.  The yard was a hit to some very surprised neighbors.  Both TOT's and their parent's really liked the haunt.  It was so fun to see faces light up and to hear little kids yell "Happy Halloween!" as they jumped off the porch to go stand in front of the cauldron and reach out to touch a witch.   Now, the snows can come and bring with them that other favorite time of year- Ski and Hot Springs Season!
