Autumn Gardening

Orange Icicle, Pearly Pink, Egg Yolk, 2 black cherries, and two of the world's smallest Mortgage Lifters up top. My favorite way of processing tomatoes this year is in the dehydrator with Italian herbs. They turn into delicious sun-dried tomatoes fairly easily.

We were really pleased with the tomato pergola experiment. I should have taken photos before the above harvest, but got to carried away to do so. You get the idea.

Our artichokes did send out some blooms, they just never looked right for harvest and are now ready to bloom. I'm O.K. with that.

R&R

I haven't had a real vacation in years. The last trip I took was great, but it wasn't a vacation. I did go to NYC for a class, but that was still work and I didn't get much sight seeing done because I was broke. I went to Las Vegas this past July, but it was for a work conference. I am doing well in my new position at work, but have had a lot of stress as well and I would like to let my hair down.

So next month, the Mr and I will fly down to southern Cali where we have a relative who will put us up and hook us up with a car and we are going to UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HALLOWEEN HAUNTED NIGHTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I plan to run around screaming my head off and giggling like a little girl and loving every minute of it. Then I had an even better idea- were also going to Knott's Scary Farm! I've never been to either one of those places and being the crazy Halloween lady I am, this is the perfect way to spend some had earned cash and vacation time and decompress.

Yes, the lady that works with dead guys is looking forward to the "Terror Tram" with AMC's Walking Dead attacking it.

I. can't. wait.

Don't worry, we'll be back to set up the haunt in time for the big night.

10+ Pounds

We harvested over ten ponds of mostly All Blue and a few runty Russet potatoes tonight. I love the color of the Blues and can't wait to make some up for dinner tomorrow.

Spirit of Boise 2012

Kyle humored me and we rode down to the Spirit of Boise night show tonight. He was a real sport. I wanted to try some low light night shots. Wow, that was the largest crowd of people I'd ever seen at an event in Boise. I've never been to the fireworks show, that must be nuts. The County fair has a ton of people, but this was in just one park for one event.
